Stanley Charles Brown, 93, of San Diego, passed away, Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. Stanley was born in Canton, South Dakota on May 22, 1924. He served in the U.S. Navy and served in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant in 1964 with over 23 years of active duty. Following his retirement, he graduated with a Physics degree from San Diego State University and worked as an Electronic Design Engineer.
Stanley married his wife, formerly known Mary Elizabeth Crooks, in 1947, who preceded in him death in 2015. They were married for 68 years. He had two sons, James Arthur Brown (Jenny) of Buena Park, CA and Richard Stanley Brown (Marion) of Princeton Junction, NJ. He is survived by his two sons, James and Richard and two grandchildren, Lindsay (Brown) Jani and Stephanie Lea Brown as well as his great granddaughter, Felicity Elle Jani.
Stanley had many interests including photography, custom wood working and hiking. He was accomplished in many aspects of life.
He will be buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, CA.
