Phyllis L. Vaccaro, 93, of Columbus died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Bristol, PA and resided most of her life in Princeton before moving to Columbus 20 years ago. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and cooking many favorite dishes for them. She worked many years on the family farm and loved spending summers in Ocean City, NJ.
Predeceased by her parents Dominic and Maria (Pomponio) Biancosino, her husband Anthony R. Vaccaro, three brothers Nicholas, Charles, & Anthony, and two sisters Angeline and Frances. She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen (Michael) Vaccaro, Phyllis (Joseph) Russo, Lorraine (Eugene) Grochala, and Nancy (Mitchell) Ryan; one sister Josephine Migliacci, a brother-in-law John Vaccaro, and sister-in-law Frances Grochala; nine grandchildren Brian, Lauren and Mark Russo, Kimberly (Matthew) Green, Alison (Gregory) Winther, Amy Grochala, Lindsay Maurer, Kelly (Michael) Cullen, and Brittany (Eric) Brodski; five great grandchildren Avalon and Holston Green, Gregory and Callan Winther, and Ryder Cullen, and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held 9:00 AM Friday, October 20, 2017 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday at St. Paul’s Church, 216 Nassau St., Princeton. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:30 PM Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
