Charles A. Baselice, Sr. 79, of Garnet Valley, PA, formerly of Philadelphia and Yeadon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 7, 1933. The fourth oldest of 11 siblings, he played baseball and football in South Philadelphia. He was a US Army Vet before working at United Airlines, retiring in 1992. Charlie married the love of his life, Loretta, in 1956 and they had 7 children. "The Chief" was an avid golfer, loved going to the casino, traveling, and watching the Phillies and Eagles. Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 34 years Loretta (nee Salvatore), parents Joseph and Rose (nee DiDomenico), brothers Joseph, Michael, James, and sisters Rosemarie, Genevieve, and Elizabeth. Charlie is survived by his children: Charles (Laura) of West Chester, Joseph (Patricia) of Secane, Michael (Donna) of Glenolden, Missy of Secane, Chris (Charleen) of Gloucester Township, NJ, Anthony (Kathleen) of Media, and Lucy Weyler (Ken) of Holmes, his brothers: Louis of Wildwood, NJ, Anthony (Robyn) Blackwood, NJ, Thomas (Lucille) of Williamstown, NJ, Frank (Nancy) of Chalfont, Sisters-In-Law: Florence of Philadelphia, Susan of Berlin, NJ, Rosemarie of Seminole, FL; 13 grandchildren, Ashley, Tara, Lauren, Nicole, Michael, Stephanie, Kenny, Janine, Joseph, Justin, Vincent, Nicholas, and Jason, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family and friends are invited to D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall on Friday, March 16 from 7pm to 9PM and Our Lady of Fatima Church in Secane, on Saturday, March 17 from 9:30-10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial: Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane, PA at 10:30am. Burial: SS Peter and Paul Cemetery immediately following mass.
