Lily Nolf Jamieson Arnesen, 89, of Griggstown died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at University Medical Center At Princeton. Born in Sao Paulo, Brasil, she was raised, along with her brother Allan, in her father's homeland of Scotland after her mother early death. Lily was educated at the Kilmarnock Academy, Jordanhill College and Glasgow University. Lily came to the United States as a World War II war bride and was a teacher in Scotland and in the North Brunswick School System for a total of 27 years. She was involved for over 50 years in the music program of the Griggstown Reformed Church as accompanist/director of the choir. Lily was also a volunteer for over 20 years at the University Medical Center of Princeton. Wife of the late Jens Arnesen, she is survived by her loving sons Donald and Allan of Griggstown. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Griggstown Reformed Church, 1065 Canal Road. Burial will follow in the Griggstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, at Lily's request memorial contributions may be made to the GRC Memorial Fund, designated for use by the Organ and Music Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
