Antonio J. Lerum

Antonio J. Lerum passed on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the age of 98. He was born in Calauag, Quezon, Philippines and lived in New York for 31 years before moving to Plainsboro, New Jersey in 2014. He was a CPA and a lawyer. He was also a World War II veteran, who fought alongside the Americans against the Japanese in the Philippines. For over 20 years, he worked at The Central Bank of the Philippines where he concluded his career as the Deputy Director of the Cash Department, with over 100 employees reporting to him. When he immigrated to the United States, in the hopes of providing better opportunities to his family, he worked as an accountant with the Bank of New York. He is the son of the late Juan Lerum and Salud (Jubida) Lerum, and a loving husband to the late Dolores Lerum. He is survived by a son John Lerum, daughters Claire Gutierrez and Teresita Gingold, 5 grandchildren Alek, Mark, Angeli, Anne,and Julian, and 4 great-grandchildren Aiden, Matthew, Vivianne and Seraphina. His life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Paul’s Church 216 Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey. Interment will follow immediately at the Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. Friends and family may visit on Friday Morning from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mather-Hodge funeral Home, Princeton.
