Rita P. Weihaus, 89, of Princeton died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in New York City, she was a resident of Princeton since 1935. She was a graduate of Misericordia School of Nursing, Class of 1944. She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps for 2 years, serving in the Philippines. She started with Princeton Surgical Group at their inception of the practice and was with them for 33 years until her retirement. After retirement from the Group, she worked for E.R. Squibb & Sons, Inc. of Princeton as head nurse for 10 years until she retired in 1989. A member of St. Paul's Church, she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society for many years, and a member of Encore, formerly the Golden Agers. Daughter of the late William and Anna Vaughan, wife of the late Raymond J. Weihaus, sister of the late Joseph E. Vaughan and Mary Elizabeth Vaughan, she is survived by a sister Kathleen Howe of Virginia Beach, VA, a step daughter Renee Loky of Pittsburgh, PA or Naples, FL, four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 1 nephew, and many friends. The Funeral will be held 10:00 AM Friday, October 19, 2012 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday at St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Health Care Ministry of Princeton, P.O.
