Eleanor Rosa (Hughes) Burnette was born in Chicago, IL on December 17, 1944. She passed away in Princeton, NJ on February 11, 2020 at the age of 75. Eleanor graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University where she met and eventually married John Burnette. Eleanor had lived in Princeton for about 40 years where she has most recently worked as a bookkeeper for Whole Earth Center. She was an avid lover of art. As an artist, she had created countless pieces over the years using a variety of mediums including oil paintings, charcoal and clay. She enjoyed literature and watching Jeopardy! She is survived by her son, Hosea (Noel) and her two brothers, Joe and Lloyd. She has three grandchildren; Talena, Tito and Timothy. She also has four great-grandchildren; Derrick, Lyric, Angelo and Azul.
