James W. Robinson, passed away on July 7, at 11:19 pm. Dr. Robinson was born in Wilmington, Delaware in 1938 and grew up there and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He was awarded a scholarship to The John Hopkins University where he received his bachelors degree and a fellowship to Duke University where he received his doctorate in economics.
Dr. Robinson was a faculty member and dean of the business school at several universities and was academic vice president of Bryant College. He was the author of several books and numerous scholarly articles. He retired from the College of New Jersey in 1998 and moved to Lakeland, Florida where he and his wife resided until returning to Lawrenceville in 2018. He was a Rotary member from 1980 until his death. He was an arbitrator also.
Dr. Robinson met his beloved wife, Sandra in Columbia, Missouri; and they were married in Kansas City in 1964 and remained happily married until his death. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and their husbands, and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10am at the Princeton Cemetery, 29 Greenview Ave. Princeton, NJ 08542.
