John C. Lydon, 74, of Princeton Junction died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in the Bronx, NY he has been a resident of Princeton Junction since 1973. John was employed as a Corporate Controller with the Hughes Television Network, New York City. He retired in 2003 as a satellite Manager with General Electric. John was a member of St. David the King Church, Princeton Junction. Son of the late Thomas and Anne (Cahill) Lydon, Father of the late Anne Elizabeth, brother of the late James, Marie, and Joseph Lydon, he is survived by his wife of 50 years Florence K. (Rochford) Lydon, 3 daughters Jean Lydon-Rodgers, Suzanne Lydon, Barbara Fanning, 2 brothers, Brother Thomas Lydon CFX, Donald Lydon, 2 sisters Rita Whelton, Noreen Browne, 5 Grandchildren John and Lexi Rodgers, Caitlin and Meghan David, Madison Fanning and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St. David the King Church 1 New Village Road West, Princeton Junction. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Staten Island. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 4-8 pm at St. David the King Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association 196 Princeton-Hightstown Road, Bldg. 2 Suite 11, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550.
