Constance Ann Stoddard passed away on July 13, 2014 in Manahawkin, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. She was 77. Connie was born and raised on Staten Island, the daughter of the late James and Eileen Robertson. She attended St. Peter's High School. After working in New York City for General Motors and United States Lines, she married her high school sweetheart, Frederick Stoddard, in 1958. Theirs was a love affair for the ages, and they recently celebrated their fifty-sixth wedding anniversary together. Connie and Fred moved to Bernardsville, NJ in 1966, where they raised their four children. Connie served as PTA President and in many other volunteer positions at St. Elizabeth's School and at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was devoted to her family, and was never happier than when her family gathered together. Connie is survived by her husband, Frederick, of Barnegat, NJ; her sisters Eileen Clarke of Shohola, PA, and Clare Elliott and her husband Richard of Milford, PA. She is also survived by her children Thomas Stoddard and his wife DawnElla and their children Andrew and Mitchell of San Diego, CA; Stephen Stoddard and his wife Mary and their children Noel, Christina and Stephen of Easton, PA; James Stoddard and his wife Marilyn and their children Nicole and Daniel of West Windsor, NJ; and Constance Corrales and her husband Jose and their children Brittany and Brandon. She is survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, NJ, on Wednesday, July 16th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton,NJ on Thursday, July 17th at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ.
