Elisabeth H. Dahlen, 64, born May 17, 1946, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at her home in Princeton. Elisabeth, a California native, is a long time resident of Princeton and an employee of Princeton University since 1987 where she was a senior administrator at Princeton University in the Office of Information Technology and the Treasurer's Office. She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. She was awarded an MBA from New York University and later qualified as a CPA. Elisabeth traveled extensively, including living in England and France with her husband Anthony F. Dahlen (Tony), Princeton professor of geosciences, who preceded her in death in 2007, and their son, Alex, who will complete his Ph.D in Physics at Princeton University in May. Besides her love of family, delight in travel and commitment to her professional work, Elisabeth will be remembered with great affection by many friends for her extraordinary culinary skill, her gracious hospitality and her enjoyment of bridge. Besides her son, Elisabeth is survived by her mother, Bea Heller, and an aunt, Flora Young, both of San Diego, California. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday June 3, 2011 at Princeton University Chapel Memorial contributions may be made to Elisabeth and F. Anthony Dahlen, Jr. Fund, which will benefit graduate students of Princeton Geosciences department.
