Michael A. Tamasi, Jr., 73 passed away February 27th, surrounded by his family. Born in Princeton, Mike attented St. Paul's School, went on to complete Trade (Vo-Tech) School in New Brunswick. He was a member of New Jersey Carpenters Union, Princeton Local 781 for over 50 years. Mike and his wife love to travel. Every April-May, they would pack the car up and head for the West Coast. They did this seven times and enjoyed every moment of it. Each time they would take a different route, trying to see all there was to see. But Mike's love for the automobile was something else. He was always in the garage with his sons working on something. Mike had restored two cuda's (65-66) plus a 1970. He had just completed restoring his wife's 1969 Chrysler Town & Country Station Wagon. He was going to start showing the car this Spring. Maybe his wife will go on where he left off. Son of the late Michael and Anna (Pinelli) Tamasi, Sr. he is survived by his wife, Diane, of almost 49 years, three sons, and a daughter-in-law. Michael A. Tamasi, III, of Lawrenceville, Edward W. Tamasi, of Tucson, Arizona, Jeff & Carol Tamasi, of Lawrenceville, two grandchildren, Allison & Jeffrey Tamasi, of Lawrenceville, a brother and sister-in-law, Constantino and Marianne Tamasi, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William & Mildred Toto, of Sherman, Texas, a mother- in-law, Elizabeth Toto, of Princeton The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
