Bruce G Stout, 71, of Trenton died Friday, January 19, 2018 at University Medical Center of Princeton, Plainsboro. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Princeton, he resided most of his life in Trenton. Bruce retired in 2010 with over 34 years of service as a Senior Sewer Maintenance Manager for Princeton. He was also a member of St. Anthony’s Church for more than 40 years.
Bruce enjoyed fishing, recycling scrap metal and repurposing anything. Bruce was a recycler well before recycling was the thing to do. He was enthusiastic about life and loved to lend a helping hand to friends and family. Friends of Bruce knew he was someone they could always count on.
Son of the late Arthur C. and Lillian (Gammage) Stout, and sister Joan Broome, he is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Joan (Burnett) Stout, 2 sons Kevin Poirier and Thomas Stout, a daughter Caroline Stout, 2 brothers Arthur Stout, Lance Stout and a sister Christine Isaac.
The funeral will be held 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, St. Anthony’s Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton.
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
