On Saturday, March 24, 2018, my beautiful mother, Grace Cirella Pittari, died peacefully without fear or pain at the age of 100 and ½. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Pittari, her sister Mary LaPorta and her brother John Cirella.
She was an incredibly wonderful mother and grandmother to me and James. We are so blessed to have had her with us for so long. She lived her life greeting each day with joy and instilled in all those who knew her the values important to her: faith, love, health and family. She was a role model to so many and will be missed by all those she touched. She was a woman of faith and the wisest woman I ever met. How fortunate I was to have her as my Mom.
Grace worked at Merrill Lynch in the Medical Department and in Human Resources for 21 years. She was known for walking the halls on her break and greeted everyone she passed. She was a tireless worker and was always there to help! At the Medical Department in NYC, she was the "go to" person for any problem a coworker encountered. She encouraged everyone to eat healthily and was a bundle of information on health issues.
