Pilar T. De Guzman, 83 of Plainsboro, passed away on May 16, 2012 at her home. Born in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Philippines, Pilar lived in Manila, Philippines for most of her life before moving to New Jersey in 1978. Pilar was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her daughters Teresita Hilario and her husband Rene of Hamilton, Julie Kanter and her husband Blair of Plainsboro, her sons Albert De Guzman and his wife Vicky of Edison, Junn De Guzman and his wife Adelle of Edison, Mario De Guzman and his wife Marissa of Pennington, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will cherish memories of her always helping and thinking of others, her strong spirit and determination, her love for family and friends, and of course her love of cooking. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 19 Dey Road, Plainsboro. Viewing will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. Cremation will be private.
