Vincent L. Ross, Jr., 84, of Skillman died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at home. Born in Trenton, raised in Princeton, he has been a resident of Skillman since 1964. He was a United States Navy Korean War Veteran. Vincent retired in 1990 with over 40 years service as an operating engineer for Princeton University. He was a member of the American Legion Post 76, Princeton Elks 2129, Charter member of Montgomery First Aid Squad. Son of the late Vincent L. and Elizabeth (Reiman) Ross, husband of the late Virginia Ross, brother of the late Betty Jane Buchanan, he is survived by his wife Sylvia M. (Petrone) Ross, 2 sons Jay Ross, Vincent L. Ross,III, a daughter Sharon Mead,a brother-in-law Bob Buchanan, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 10:00am on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. Burial will follow in the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 7- 9 pm at the funeral home.
