David H. Mullaney, 90, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2019, at his home in Belle Mead, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Theresa Mullaney, his son Paul Mullaney and daughter-in-law Lynn Mullaney of Pound Ridge, NY, his daughter Pam Mullaney and son-in-law Dexter Van Zile of Boston, MA, granddaughters Mireya, Evelyn, Bianca, and Lauren, and by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jack, Bob, and Donald, and by his sister Mary.
David was born in New Brunswick, NJ, on November 12, 1928. During the Korean War, he flew 97 combat missions in the F4U Corsair. David received a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering form New York University in 1956.
Dave spent his career as a mechanical engineer at Princeton University’s Plasma Physics Laboratory, from which he retired in 1990. He enjoyed an active retirement crafting furniture for his family and updating the house he built in Belle Mead in the 1970’s.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 3-6 p.m. at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, NJ 08542.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church in Princeton, NJ.
