I worked with Corky at Filon in Pretoria South Africa, he had come back from Canada to work with Lawrence Freedman. Corky was always helpful, full of fun, and had lots of stories about his time living in Canada. We laughed when he told us about plugging his car into the electrical power outlet in winter, so that it would start in the morning. He always liked his steak very rare, "wave it past the candle and put it on the plate" I appreciated all that he taught me in running the plant, and his constant good humour James Eastwood

Corky has been my friend since 1963, together with his sister Eugenie and brother-in-law Dale, many family members, as well as Felicia, their late mother. Corky loved fun and games, loved life and participated in physical activity in any way he could. His friends as well as his wife Lynne, his beloved sons and their families clearly adored him. He was gregarious and larger than life, generous and to a degree, a little eccentric. He was an intelligent and highly successful businessman. I shall miss him. My sincerest condolences go to his immediate family, his in-law family, his friends and all who loved him
