Obituary of Kathleen "Kaye" McCue

Kaye McCue, age 92, departed this life surrounded by loved ones on January 13, 2020 in her home in Princeton, New Jersey. Kaye was an extraordinarily loving woman who raised her five children in her hometown of Park Slope, NY. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and leaves behind happy memories with the people who loved her. After leaving Brooklyn, she helped raise her granddaughters, Kate and Grace, and found herself living in unexpected places - Northampton, MA, Philadelphia and West Chester, PA, Milwaukee and Whitefish Bay, WI, Summit and Princeton, NJ. She developed lasting friendships in all the places she lived. Kaye was an avid reader, and a master at crossword puzzles. She loved a good mall shopping spree and a hot slice of pizza. She knew when you needed a hug and you knew you were loved when you got one. She will be deeply missed. Kaye was predeceased by her husband, Gerard McCue, her son, Roddy McCue, and her daughter, Kathy Davis. She is survived by her sons, Tommy McCue of Northampton, MA, Timmy McCue of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, Jimmy McCue of Brooklyn, NY, her son-in-law, Robert Davis of Princeton, NJ, and her sister, Anne Harkin of Staten Island, NY. She is also survived by her four granddaughters, Emily McCue, Molly McCue, Kate Davis, and Grace Davis, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Lila and Gabriel McCloskey. Mass will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Paul Parish, 216 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ 08452. Followed by a memorial service from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton, NJ 08452. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be made to: American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html
