Joseph William Stull, Jr., 66 years of age of Franklin Park, New Jersey passed peacefully Monday, June 1, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was a humble man of quiet strength and dignity, who was courageous and fiercely loyal to his family above all else. Those who knew him will remember him for his sharp wit, his endless love for children and animals, as well as his innumerable Joey Jokes and pranks.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he proudly continued the family military legacy by enlisting in the United States Navy at the age of 18. He served our country that he so loved during the Vietnam War Era as a Petty Officer for four years, active duty on the vessel USS Henry B. Wilson DDG 7. Among their notable rescue missions were the Mayaguez Rescue, Eagle Pull, Frequent Wind and Sea Fox. Following his honorable discharge and return to New Jersey, he served an additional eight years in the US Navy Reserve.
In order to support our front-line heroes and help those in need, he chose healthcare IT as his career path. For 35 years, Joseph worked in Information Technology in ascending roles in the Operations and Systems Support field, including Healthcare IT Technology Specialist, Technology Operations Manager and Senior Systems Programmer. Companies from his curriculum vitae include: Mount Sinai/Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Beth Israel/St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, and Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center.
