Obituary of Anthony J. Libero

Anthony J. "Tony" Libero, 86, of Lawrenceville died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was born and raised in Newark, resided in Hazlet until 1986. He moved to Dimock, PA to enjoy his retirement years. For the past 7 months, Tony resided in Lawrenceville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Tony was a self employed Insulator for various area contractors. He served in the United States Navy as a cook. Tony was an avid hunter, fisherman and wood working craftsman. His love of cooking was evident in the delicious meals he created for his family. He was predeceased by his first wife Angelina Cifaldi Libero, brother Robert Libero, sister, Josephine Ventola, and brother-in-law Americo Ventola. Tony is survived by his wife Laura L. Hughes Libero, a daughter, Donna Gill, a son, Anthony Libero, and his partner Carmine Lampo, a step daughter Lynn and husband John Morris, a brother and two sisters-in-law Vincent and Mary Ellen Libero and Suzanne Libero, two grandchildren Christopher and wife Jennifer Morris and Meghann and husband Robert Valeo, three great grandchildren Colin and Isla Morris and Julianne Valeo. Calling hours will be held Tuesday January 22, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave, Princeton. Following the calling hours a Service will be held at 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Straightway Baptist Church, 364 Stockton St. Princeton, NJ 08540.
