Obituary of LCDR Anthony David Baldino

LCDR Anthony David Baldino, 76, of Mercerville passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center of Plainsboro. Born in Trenton, NJ he has been a resident of Mercerville for the past 47 years and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and Brown University (Class of 1966).

 

Anthony began his service with the U.S. Navy through the ROTC program at Brown University. During his years of active military service, he loved his time at sea on the USS Guam and USS Mt. Baker.

 

Anthony served in the Vietnam War and was decorated with several medals including the Vietnam Service Medal and the Naval Commendation Medal with Combat V. He also served 10 years in the Navy Reserves.

 

He was employed by Bank of America as a Loan Officer. After his retirement from the bank, Anthony enjoyed teaching business and math courses at Mercer County Community College for many years.

 

A dedicated college football fan, Anthony loved to cheer on his favorite teams – especially Notre Dame and Brown. He was an avid reader and loved listening to music.

 

He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Antoinette (Sabatucci) Baldino.

 

Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Bernadette (McKenna) Baldino, his son Anthony B. Baldino, two daughters and son-in-law’s Meghan A. Baldino Hulit, Jeff Hulit, Bernadette C. Baldino Leczycki, Darius Leczycki, his grandson Alexander Leczycki, his sister Carol Maclennan and nephew Todd Maclennan.

 

A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, May 21, 2021 and 8:30AM to 9:30AM on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Mather Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue Princeton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 216 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery, 29 Greenview Avenue Princeton, NJ.
