My condolences to the Robinson family. I knew Jim from the Trenton Rotary - he was a wonderful man...always there to help out and quick with a joke. A true gentleman. He will be missed. Bill Cleave

Jim was considerate, intelligent and thoughtful. A little over a year ago, I said to Jim that I'd like to get to know him better, and that we should get together for dinner. Covid hit, but Jim remembered and called several weeks ago. He and Sandy, Paige and I had a wonderful three-hour dinner at Erini's on Friday July 2. We learned about their exciting life in Montana, Kansas City, and Baltimore. Jim told a funny story of how he had accepted a speaking invitation at a remote village in Montana, which turned out to be hours from Bozeman. Dutifully, he drove to the engagement, which was a long affair. Finally, he asked, "Do you really want me to speak?" They said he didn't have to, so he enjoyed the meal and drove home. As an arbitrator and teacher, Jim had a fascinating life in education and business -- I wish I had more time to spend with him. We are so sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was my first Dean and that made a real difference in my life and the life of my family. But he also did more than that.
It has said - and I think it is true - that people don't really remember what you did or what you said. They remember how you made them feel. Jim made me feel welcome, and part of something. That is what I remember. And it is for that which I am most grateful.

Jim was a wonderful friend and our memories of all the great times we had with Jim and Sandy will be with us for the rest of our lives.
His passing leaves a hole in our hearts, he will be missed.
Our sympathy goes out to Sandy, and to both his daughters, their husbands , and to all his grandchildren. Hold your memories close to your hearts, that’s where Jim lives forever.
