Obituary of Roberto Agnese

Roberto G. Agnese, 88, of Princeton, NJ, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Born in Piedimonte, Ischia, Italy, Roberto was a resident of Princeton since 1963. He was employed for over 30 years for L.C Bowers Construction Company before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, and a member of the Laborers Local 50 Union. Roberto enjoyed following his favorite Italian soccer teams, tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, making wine and sharing it with friends and family. Son of the late Pasquale and Lucia Agnese, husband of the late Carmela (DiMeglio) Agnese, he is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons-in-law Luci and Paul Benn, Anna and Jose Colon, 5 grandchildren, three of whom are married and include Jennifer and Charley Johnson, Michael and Erin Colon, Gregory and Amanda Benn, Adrienne Benn, Christina Benn, and 2 great grandchildren CJ and Kaitlyn Johnson. The funeral will be held Friday, March 22, at 9:45 am at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:45 am at St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
