Pauline Henry, age 93 died at Bridgeway nursing home located in Hillsborough, New Jersey on August 28, 2021.
She was born in Yonkers, New York to parents Antonio Gomez and Mary DiPena, deceased. She was the sister of Rocco Gomez, Lena Wilson, Grace Case, Paul and Paulina DiPena, all of whom are deceased. Pauline lived most of her life in Mount Vernon, New York and moved to New Jersey in her 60’s. Pauline graduated from high school and as a young woman worked at Sigmund Cohen corporation. She also held a position working in the rectory of Sacred Heart Church in Mount Vernon. Pauline married Seymour Henry also deceased. She was the mother of two daughters, Sharon Henry-Woodby, MD who is an Infectious Disease physician and Antoinette Edwards, RN.
She was a devout Catholic whose hobbies included reading the Bible and sewing.
Pauline was also the loving grandmother to 4 adult grandchildren, Najah Phillips, MBA, Saarah Woodby, Esq, Nadia Henry, and Thomas Bennett, MD. She had 8 great grandchildren Eliana Bennett, Thompson Bennett, Zarreah Dent, Nahjae Dent, Amirah Henry, Tahj Henry, Nevaeh Henry Judah, and Naomi Phillips as well as one great great granddaughter, Journie Dent.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on October 1, 2021 at 5pm at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home located at 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton, NJ 08542. Cremation and Burial of Ashes will be private.
