Dearest Katie & Family, I am so sad and sorry to hear that Joe is gone... I will ALWAYS remember him as the anchor of Elizabeth Ave.... strong, caring, funny, and irreverent - I loved that guy. May your memories & faith bring you comfort in these difficult days, and may you know that loving arms, both near and far, and holding you close in mind & heart. I know my dad welcomed him at the pearly gates with a stiff drink and a hug... and then took him to the nearest salt air porch...Love to you all from all the McDonnells & Kelleys

I am so sorry for your loss. Always Uncle JeJe to me, he was an incredibly warm, kind, and generous man. I have many fond memories of him when he would come to Hopewell to visit my parents, Harry and Joan, or go out hunting with my father and brothers. As a child, a visit from Uncle JeJe always meant a lot of smiles, laughs, and silliness. When my mother passed away earlier this year, Uncle JeJe would call my father every day to check on him. That was his way. I will never forget how he was there for my dad. Uncle JeJe will be missed tremendously. You are all in my thoughts.
