Leslie, We were so sad to hear of your dad’s death. Working with him for many years at AMRe, I learned so many lessons, not only the technical aspects of the job, but more importantly the people and relationship side of it. He was greatly respected by all his clients, colleagues and associates plus he was a fun guy to hang out with in the wee hours of the morning wherever the local watering hole was on that particular trip! He will be greatly missed.

Leslie and family: Over the span of my surety and reinsurance career there was one constant that did not waiver - Charlie Cochrane : a client, a competitor, a real gentleman, and above all, a friend. A true icon in the surety industry will be missed by all. God bless. Dick Young

In 1991 Charlie helped me in my surety career. I was relocating to another city and Charlie wrote over a dozen introductory letters for me to his many contacts in the industry. I was very moved by his generosity and support. I ultimately became a "friendly competitor" in reinsurance and enjoyed the opportunity of visiting with Charlie at industry functions. He was an acknowledged expert in his field and will be remembered fondly by many, especially me.

Leslie and Family: We were deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. It was a prevledge to have worked side-by-side with your dad for so many years He was so much more than a co-worker; he was a mentor, a partner and above all a dear friend. Charlie was always looking out for his clients. He often booked a room with two beds so that some of his smaller clients who might not be able to expense the cost of a room could be his "bunky" and thus attend various industry or Am Re functions. Eleanor and I have many fond memories of you dad. We will miss him, but we will never forget him.. Our prayer are with you and your family

Our thoughts are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. When the enemy death strikes, your grief can be great, but let not your sorrow be unrelenting, but place your confidence in the resurrection hope (John 5:28-29). The Bible can be read or listened to online at www.jw.org.

Leslie -- I was very sad to hear of your dad's passing. I have known Charlie since 1964 when I started in the bond business as a trainee for Peerless in their home office in Keene. Part of my early experience included vacation coverage at 32 Cliff St. in NY City and later assignments in Union, NJ. When I moved to NGM in 1973 I became a client of Charlie's at American Re -- a relationship that continued until we both retired. We had many good times over the years with his audit visits to Keene and, of course the NAIS meetings. We continued to share Cristmas cards and I will miss him -- he was a wonderful friend. God bless you. Lyn Landry
