Nancy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your sister sounds like an amazing person and genuine friend. Sisters are special in deed. Prayers for all who loved Mary Lou.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about MaryLou. She was a genuinely kind and caring person, always greeting you with a smile. Over the many years of our friendship, we shared happy times at Seton Hall basketball games, Booster Club events, and BBQ’s at our home where she would bring her famous deviled eggs.
May Jim and her family find comfort in cherished memories. She will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know her. Rest In Peace MaryLou, you will always have a special place in our hearts.

Mary Lou came into our lives just after our second child was born, and never left. God (and Sarah!) brought her to us, when we needed her the most. Always kind, always cheerful (unless it was before 10am!) A dependable friend. She gave more than she received. She was there for countless birthdays, school plays, baptisms, dance recitals, orchestra performances, and any special events. Any time that the kids needed a cheering section, Mary Lou was there. Any time that Susan needed a friend, or a break, Mary Lou was there. Anytime that Sam needed magic bars, or chocolate chip cookies, Lou Lou was there. She was an important part of our family, we were blessed to have her, and we will miss her.

Just heartbreaking news. Mary Lou was as gentle and caring a person as I have ever known. Her smile and sweet nature was her calling card and losing her makes us all a little less than we were previously.
Jim had the perfect companion. And as much as it hurts now eventually he'll be able to look back on all their years together with a smile and pleasant memories.
Stay strong Jim.
Love you Mary Lou and now rest in peace.

Mary Lou and I were friends from the start. She was the best colleague a young professional could have and helped me navigate the heavy travel schedule I kept, giving restaurant, hotel, and airline tips, and helping me track my coveted frequent flier miles. I helped her with Microsoft spreadsheets and labels.
I have so many memories of her. Baking a cake, in which we’d mismeasured a key ingredient, taking our corporate lunch breaks at Chuck’s on Spring Street, sharing a Coke, and taking turns watching each other’s dog when we traveled. She was my son’s Godmother and took it seriously.
She always cared for us, baking stuffed peppers and cookies for the family and me. I loved when she’d drop by to catch up. There was always so much to talk about. I loved hearing about her family, her trips, the basketball games far and wide, and, of course, Jim and Chelsea, Roxy and Casey.
I will never forget when she babysat my boys one evening, giving my husband and me a well-needed night out. We came home, and there was a bottle of Twisted Tea on the counter that my boys had shared. Twisted Tea, the “original” hard iced tea, was new to the market. I suppose my boys were pretty tranquil that evening. Oh, we laughed hard that evening!
Mary Lou was genuinely interested in people. She was always thoughtful, curious, and the kindest person I’ve ever known. She’s always been there to support my family and me.
I will miss her dearly.
