Colin Clark, age 71, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by family, in Princeton, New Jersey, on April 16th, 2022.
Colin Clark was born on March 10th, 1951, in Glasgow, Scotland. Growing up, he was very active and participated in a variety of sports. He was a fan of the Glasgow Rangers and played soccer. He also practiced judo, winning many trophies in competitions. He even ran and completed the first Glasgow marathon. In 1972, he met Angela Simpson at the Glasgow Fair Fortnight. The two would eventually marry in 1978. Six years later, in 1984, they had a son whom they named Gordon. And a year later, they had a daughter, whom they named Fiona.
Colin began working for a company, Rhône-Poulence, in which he got to travel to America frequently. In 1997, he was offered a permanent position in the US, which he accepted. The Clark family lived happily together in Princeton, New Jersey, until Gordon and Fiona went onto university, to lead their own lives. That left Angela and Colin alone to travel. They loved to visit many cities across the world, from Charleston to Tokyo.
As Colin grew older, he became an avid player of golf. He enjoyed it due to its competitive nature. Golf also allowed him to meet many people, most of which became friends. He always talked about how the guys he played with were friendly but very competitive. This always pushed him to work on his golf game to stay sharp. His favorite golf course was Saint Andrews, the home of golf. There, he shot an 80. 39 on the front, and 41 on the back. He lived a good life and loved his family. His family also loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Angela; son, Gordon; daughter, Fiona.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 5:00pm at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave. Princeton, NJ 08542.
