Dear Tom & Molly,
I was so saddened to hear this news. I remember Adam fondly from his PHS/BMX days, and am awed by how valiantly he fought to regain his health and to find peace. It is no small thing that you so lovingly walked that path alongside him.
My warmest thoughts are with you, Tara, and Adam's extended family and friends.

Dear Tom, Molly, Tara, and all others in the family:
I was so saddened to find out about this and I am so sorry about your devastating loss. I have such fond memories of Adam--from swapping baseball cards (he always had the best ones!) and riding BMX bikes to hearing the many erudite historical facts he would pull out of nowhere in casual conversation. In our little BMX crew, we always referred to him as the scholarly one.
The adversities brought on by mental illness are so challenging, but I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that you gave him the most comfortable life possible. It's clear how much he was loved by you all.
I probably cannot make the ceremony on the 18th, but I will be thinking of Adam at that time.
Love to you all.

Tom and Molly: I am so saddened to learn of your untimely loss of Adam. I, who have loved ones with schizophrenia and acute anxiety, realize that I am only a moment away, a year away, who knows away, from this kind of pain. I see that you loved Adam well. Well done, all of you.

Dear Tom,
I just wanted to share my deepest sympathies at this most difficult time. Your grief is shared by all of us working in this field of mental health advocacy. We commit our selves to work for change, a very difficult and long battle- that I know you will continue as a tribute to Adam's time with you and the world. Tom and family. My heart is heavy as I know the battle that wore Adam down. We are still working same for our son. I hope you continue to fight hard in his memory to continue to find resources for those suffering when the symptoms can’t be controlled by the chemical cocktail we pray holds the voices at bay. I am sure Adam is with his lord and with them from above we have more to help those still trying to get through the day. May his memories be a blessing to keep your family strong.

Tom,
Our paths crossed very briefly as a Board Member at Bridgeway BHS. I am struck by the very personal and revealing details of Adam's obituary. I am enormously saddened by his short time with us...but in awe of his many accomplishments and adventures that many of us would never experience in two life times, let alone 36 years. Thank you and your family for sharing the details of his life in totality. The authentic words shared here will help to shine much needed light on the myth that people diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness cannot lead productive and meaningful lives. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Mark T. Williams, President of NAMI New Jersey

To Adam, the lord brings people into our lives for what ever reason he has. I believe ours was friendship and education. I have never been more impressed with anyone as I have with you. We have had several deep conversations that left me far more educated than I was prior. Your kindness and smile will be something I will always cherish. You have in some ways made me a better and smarter person. I thank the Lord for blessing my life with your friendship, I will think of you every time I research something. I hope you are at rest now and at the lords hand looking over us. I am not going to say goodbye but rather Till we meet again.
To the family, there are no words to share. I am speechless because I know no words can comfort you at this time but you are part of a large family who will always extend a hand or ear if needed. You will along with Adam continue to be in my prayers.
