Obituary of Marie K. Krystaponis
Marie K. Krystaponis, 87, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in Rocky Hill, NJ and graduated from Princeton High School. She was a longtime resident of Princeton and the Jersey Shore.
Marie was employed by Ethicon and Johnson & Johnson. She retired as a union representative. Marie was an active member of the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary for 50 years. After retiring, Marie toured the United States with her husband in their RV. She enjoyed visiting Ireland and kissed the Blarney Stone. She spent many and her last years at the Jersey Shore.
Predeceased by her parents Josephine (Sloan) and Henry Recke Sr., James Mulgrew, daughter Kathryn Ireland, and two sisters Elizabeth Pirone and Gloria O’Beirne;
Marie is survived by her loving, devoted husband Anthony J. Krystaponis Jr., a daughter Ann Marie Barnwell, two sons and two daughters-in-law John and Lisa Krystaponis III, Michael and Michelle Krystaponis, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a brother Henry Recke Jr., three sisters and two brothers-in-law Mary Jo and Orville Bell, Linda and Joe Luther, Henrietta Recke, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who have all brought joy into her life.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Mather Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Avenue Princeton, 08542. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church 216 Nassau Street Princeton, 08542. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
