Obituary of Margaret C. Pazdan
Margaret (Carroll) Pazdan Bolivia N.C. Margaret C. Pazdan, 99, passed away on July 1, 2022 in Shallotte, NC at Arbor Landing Assisted Living. Born June 29, 1923 in Princeton, NJ to the late Richard A. and Ida M. Carroll, where she resided for 93 years before moving to North Carolina. In 1948 she married the love of her life, Stanley J Pazdan, and they spent 63 years together in Princeton N.J. Margaret attended Princeton Township schools and graduated from Princeton High School, class of 1941. She was also a graduate of Mercer Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 and received her Bachelors of Arts in school nursing from Trenton State College in 1969. Margaret spent 20 years serving as a school nurse in the Princeton School system, as well as doing general nursing duty at Princeton Hospital before deciding to become a school nurse. Margaret was a member of the National Education Association, a past member of the Thistle Lodge #220 Daughters of Scotia in Princeton and the Cameron Lodge #145 Daughters of Scotia in Trenton. She was a past member and President of The Princeton Business and Professional Women’s Club. Margaret also joined her husband and became active with the American Legion and Princeton Elks Auxiliary Associations. As a longtime member of Trinity Church Princeton, she served as Sunday school teacher and choir mother.
Margaret was also appreciated by her classmates as she arranged high school reunions for many years. Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends on numerous trips with the Princeton Get-Away Club. They enjoyed many summers at the Jersey Shore and Pocono Mountains. Margaret was the wife of the late Stanley J Pazdan, and sister of the late Richard, Donald and Douglas Carroll. She is survived by her son and daughter in-law Robert and Nanci Pazdan of Norway ME., daughter and son in-law Peggy and Richard Kopliner of Bolivia NC, granddaughter Lisa and husband Keith McKnight of Naples ME, great grandson Kyle and wife Liz McKnight of Basking Ridge NJ, great granddaughter Kelly and husband Jon Beske of Berwick ME, and 3 great great grandchildren, Bridgette, Khole, and Tyler. In addition, she is survived by a sister, Joyce Moffett of Wernersville PA and a sister in-law, Donna Carroll of NY.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
The Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Trinity Church 33 Mercer Street. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.
