Obituary of Marie Antoinette Correnti Falconio

Please share a memory of Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marie Antoinette Correnti Falconio was welcomed into heaven by God and her loving husband, Nicholas. She passed peacefully at home on June 30, 2022. We hold in our hearts her smile and love. Born and raised in the Chambersburg Section, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident. She is survived by her children:Marian “Micki” (Ralph) Billick; Peter (Sue); William (Kathleen); Mark (Karen) and Nancy; her brother, Joseph Correnti and sister-in-law, Josephine; along with six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 55 years, Nicholas; her parents, Mauro and Annunziata Correnti; her brothers, Angelo, Nicholas, and Albert; and her sisters, Frances Mancine, Concetta Weil, Lena Aversano, and Teresa Raymond.

Marie was a member of St, Anthony’s Church; St Vincent DePaul Church, St Anthony’s Altar Rosary Society, Hamilton Senior Citizens Group, and Colonial Senior Citizens.

She worked at the local government welfare office for almost 20 years. Due to her hard work and recommendations for improvement to assist those in need, her registration office was rated number one in the State of New Jersey.

Marie believed in helping others and worked tirelessly for the church including cleaning the church, baking for bake sales, working at parish carnivals, Christmas bazaars and volunteering to do whatever was necessary to help the church and school raise money. She made generous charitable contributions to several churches, community, and religious organizations for many years. Marie donated groceries to the food pantry on a weekly basis to help feed those who were less fortunate. She was a truly giving and charitable woman who expected nothing in return.

Special thanks for the outstanding care and compassion provided by Dr Robert Platzman and Jennifer Donahue, NP; Caring Senior Services staff especially Muni Issah and Karen Schiariti; and the Embracing Hospice Care team including Elizabeth Blamo, Carli Romeus and Chaplain Justin Warner. Muni Issah deserves special recognition for being mom’s earthly angel on a daily basis. Her skills, dedication as a caregiver, supportive spirit and sacrifice will always be remembered with eternal gratitude.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am on Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Anthony's Church 626 South Olden Avenue, Hamilton, NJ. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until the time of the mass at the church.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
