Obituary of Janice Stogniew Hildebrand

Janice Stogniew Hildebrand, of Princeton, New Jersey passed away on December 2, 2022. She happily celebrated her 80th birthday with her usual graceful style on October 10th.

Naturally elegant and intellectual, Janice was employed with The New School in New York, New York for 30 years prior to retiring and eventually relocating to Pennington, New Jersey. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Paris, with her husband Gene. Janice dedicated her life to her husband, her family, her career and her home.

Daughter of the late Alfred P. and Cecilia (Waszkiewicz) Stogniew and devoted wife of the late Gene D. Hildebrand (d.2015) Janice is survived by her cherished sisters; Christina Stogniew, Kathleen Maroko (the late A. David), Alicia Ferrera (the late John) and Laurie Yost (Robert). She is also survived by her dear nieces and nephew, Dahlia Maroko Wool (Eric), Jonathan Maroko (Nanxi Liu), Stephanie Yost and Kristen Yost as well as her great niece and nephew Aria Wool and Zachary Wool. Janice will be fondly remembered by all including her devoted friends and colleagues.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, in Princeton. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:30am until the time of Mass. A private burial will be held for Janice and Gene in Calvary Cemetery, Long Island City, New York at a later date.
