Helen A. Semancik, 98, of East Windsor, died Monday, January 6, 2014 at Merwick Care & Rehab Center of Plainsboro. Born in Bayonne, she resided in Hasbrouck Heights and Neptune before moving to East Windsor. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle fan. Daughter of the late George and Rose (O'Neill) Davis, wife of the late Anthony A. Semancik, and mother of the late Marjorie Slagus, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Judith and Albert Cabral, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. The Funeral will be held 9:00 AM Thursday, January 9, 2014 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Thursday at St. David the King Church, 1 New Village Road West, Princeton Junction. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at funeral home.
