Nanci Marie Fasanella, of Florence, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at home. Born in Princeton, she resided most of her life in Princeton before moving to Lawrenceville, and then to Florence in 2000. A devoted Catholic, she was very active with the church. She was focused on working with children and strengthening families working in various positions over the years. Currently she was the Program Manager for Strengthening Families at the NJ Department of Children & Families. Additionally, she was serving as Project Manager in The Children's Futures Early Literacy Program at Mercer County Community College and served on The Policy Advisory Board at Kean University Advocating Growth for Early Childhood Educators. She held a Masters in Education from The College of NJ, BA from Seton Hall College; Associates Degree from Marymount College & Graduated High School from Villa Victoria Academy. Daughter of the late Joseph J. and Betty A. (Lapilato) Fasanella, Sr., she is survived by two brothers Joseph J. Jr. and Guy Fasanella, and two nephews Joseph J. III and Anthony Fasanella. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, March 5, 2011 at St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday, March 5, 2011 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Paul's Church 214 Nassau St., Princeton, NJ 08542.
