Stanley L. Sibert, Sr., 86, of Hamilton Twp. died Friday, July 18, 2014 at RWJ University Hospital @ Hamilton. He was born and raised in Star Tannery VA, and as a child of The Great Depression, moved with his parents from Virginia in the late 1930's to settle on Alexander St. in Princeton, where his father could obtain employment. An indefatigable entrepreneur and laborer, Stanley owner-operated a garbage disposal business in Princeton Junction for well over 20 years while simultaneously employed full time with Cooper Jarrett Motor Freight Company of Bound Brook. Shortly after retiring from both in 1982, Stanley owner-operated a tire tube recycling route until nearly 80 years of age. He was a Korean Era Army veteran, a member of the N.J. National Guard, and American Legion Princeton Post #76. In later years, he greatly enjoyed attending Hamilton Senior Center with his many friends. Predeceased by his parents Della and Raymond Sibert Sr., his ex-wife Rita Smith Sibert Warren, and a brother Robert Carson Sibert, he is survived by his son Stanley L. Sibert Jr., a brother Raymond L. Sibert Jr. and wife Linda, nephews Robert Sibert Jr. and wife Jill, William Sibert and wife Gail, and Marc Sibert and wife Jessica, nieces Stacy Sibert-Graubart and husband Gary, Lisa Harding and husband James, and many great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday July 23, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home 40 Vandeventer Ave. Princeton. Funeral Service will follow the calling hours on Wednesday. Burial will be held on Friday July 25, 2014 near his parents' plot at Gravel Springs Cemetery Gravel Springs, VA.
