Pauline (Paula) (nee Kushnir) Grant, 100, of Princeton, NJ passed away peacefully on August 7, 2014 at Brandywine Senior Living with her family by her side. Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ where she lived for 47 years before moving to Irvington, NJ and retiring to Toms River, NJ, Paula then moved to Brandywine. She supported the war effort during WWII through her work at Bell Telephone and subsequently was employed by Allied Chemical Corporation in New York City as an accounts payable manager from where she retired. As a retiree in Holiday City in Toms River, NJ, she was active as a fundraiser for Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital and enjoyed traveling around the world with friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Constance Grant Kijek and husband, Mark, her son, Richard Grant and wife, Nancy and her daughter Catherine Grant DeMarco and husband, Patrick. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her sisters, Marion Burbella, Anne Dieck and Kathryn Barnes and brother, Myron Kushnir. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. A requiem mass service will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, NJ on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. The family wishes to thank the staff of Brandywine for the excellent and compassionate care they provided Paula over the last 8 years and to Gentiva Hospice.
