Vince was born in Bound Brook VA hospital, graduated from Princeton High School and Rider College. He was a life-long resident of Mercer County. He died suddenly from a brain aneurysm. He married Sarah in 1970 and served in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam war in Army Security Agency, stationed in Hawaii. He was an early computer programmer and analyst starting in 1969 at ETS and continued in that field working for an early start-up Princeton Data Services, Johnson & Johnson, American Cyanimide, Church & Dwight, OSI and The Traf Group. He retired in 2013. Vince loved working with kids and as his children grew up, he managed and coached West Windsor Little League and was an assistant Scout Master. He was an avid watcher of the political stage; he loved collecting music and movies, coins and stamps. And he loved words, taking great pride in finishing a New York Times Crossword Puzzle every day. He was a poet and spoke eloquently when asked for "a few words." He is survived by his wife, Sarah, his sons Jonathan of Charleston SC and Steve of Morgantown WV. His brother Jim and Jo Ann of Belle Mead and their children Adam of Flemington and Jessica Muller of Kernersville, NC. His brother Greg of West Windsor and Elaine Staats of Princeton. A memorial service and celebration of Vince's life will be Saturday, August 22, 11a.m. at Christ Congregation Church, 50 Walnut Lane, Princeton, NJ. Vince loved animals.
