William C. Voorhees, Jr., 86, of Skillman, NJ died Monday, August 31, 2015 at Francis E. Parker Memorial Home in New Brunswick. Born in Princeton, he lived in Penns Neck and was educated in the Penns Neck and Dutch Neck school system. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1947 and Ursinus College in 1951. Following graduation from college, he served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He married his wife Frances M. (Stults) Voorhees in 1954. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Kingston Presbyterian Church. Son of the late William C. and Dorothy (Landis) Voorhees, he is survived by his wife Frances, two sons Scott and Steven, a daughter Susan Gons, and their spouses, a sister Janice Wood, five grandchildren William, Samantha, Caitlin, Johanna, and Travis, and 6 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Kingston Presbyterian Church, 4565 Rt. 27, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston Presbyterian Church memorial fund. Arrangements are under the direction of The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
