Obituary of John Larkin

John T. Larkin, 83, of Princeton, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in Cornwall, NY he was a lifelong Princeton resident. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic and Rider University. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, and a former member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a member of Peddie Golf Club, and a member of Mercer Engine Co. # 3 for over 50 years as a fireman. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1991 after 30 years of service with the State of New Jersey. Son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (O'Hare) Larkin, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Mary L. and John Stefan, a nephew John Joseph Stefan, a niece Jennifer S. Rowe, and two great nephews Jack and Matthew Rowe. The Funeral will be held 8:30 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM at St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau St., Princeton. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Princeton. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
