Tuesday, October 27, 2015Thank you Mr. Bales for being so nice to me all these years. It was always a pleasure to see you at lacrosse and elsewhere. I guess that you are the last of my father's classmates. There sure were alot of great people in the class of 1934. I won't forget you and I still very much remember your lovely wife. J. Ward Kuser

A. Stephen Lane, Jr. '72 posted a condolence
Tuesday, October 27, 2015Jack Bales was a teammate, classmate and dear friend of my dad, Art Lane, for 67 years. After Dad's death in 1997, my mom, Sally Lane, kept in close contact with Jack, attending Princeton football and lacrosse games and numerous events at the Nassau Club with him. The entire Lane family sends their condolences to Jack's family and mourns the loss of one of Princeton's great alumni.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015We send our most sincere condolences to all the Bales family. Jack (and Jean) visited our house many times when my parents were over and we enjoyed their company enormously. We were privileged to attend Jack's 100th birthday party at Meadow Lakes recently and were amazed at how vital he was. He will remain an inspiration to us as an example of how much someone can do in their later years.
