Tuesday, October 27, 2015In life there are only a few people that you encounter who really have an impact on your own philosophy of life and Bill Houston is one such person. I consider myself very lucky to have known Bill as a mentor, boss, and friend but more importantly, his influence on me to love and cherish my family just as he did stands out in my memory. I can never remember a time when I was with Bill that he did not talk about how proud he was of his family; I would get updates on all of his kids and a special update on Kathleen. My wife and I have fond memories of the many parties with Bill and Kathleen and how Bill was always the “life of the party” and always made you feel welcome. Without a doubt, he left a very compassionate legacy here on earth, but heaven is now a much livelier place with Bill. My friend and mentor, you are loved by many and will be greatly missed. My wife Madeline and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Kathleen and the family on the loss of a truly great guy. Madeline and George Nelson

Tuesday, October 27, 2015"I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, 'He is gone'. But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a huge band of family and friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, 'He is gone' a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, 'Here he comes!” I never met a finer person. I will miss him.
