Anne C. O'Brien of Princeton, NJ Anne Callan O'Brien, 94, died peacefully and surrounded by her family at her home in Princeton, NJ on Sunday 2 October. Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1916 to Catherine and Charles Callan, she was raised in Chicago and in Bronxville, New York. She attended Maplehurst Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from Trinity College in Washington, D.C. in 1938. That same year she married C. Russell O'Brien, who died in 2000. She is survived by her children: Carol (Mrs. Owen E. Desmond III) of Princeton, NJ; James F. of Putney, VT; Charlotte (Mrs. John J. Kenney) of Bronxville, NY; Charles C. (Melissa M.) of Park Ridge, NJ; and Mary R. of Lexington, MA; grandchildren: Anne C. Desmond of Princeton; Owen E. (Ned) Desmond IV (Kristina H.) of Wellesley, MA; Alexander H. Kenney of New York, NY; Jennifer O'B. Lacovara (Michael) of Greenwich, CT; and T. Christopher O'Brien of La Jolla, CA.; and great-grandchildren: Jack, Maja, and Tyler Desmond and Owen and Deirdre Ristic. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday 8 October 2011 at 11 AM at St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Anne Callan O'Brien Scholarship at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, 1200 Stuart Road, Princeton, NJ 08540.
