William D. Benfer, 82 of Princeton Junction died Friday July 22, 2016 at University Medical Center of Princeton. Born in Salem, NJ he resided most of his life in Princeton Junction. William retired in 1993 as Vice President of the Chemical Division of Pfizer in New York, NY with over 28 years of service. He received an economics degree from Rutgers University, an MBA from University of Delaware and completed the Executive Development Program at Cornell University. He was a member of Granite-Corinthian Masonic Lodge No 34 of Wilmington DE for over 50 years.
Son of the late William Grady and Lorraine (Humphrey) Benfer, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane L. (Dunn) Benfer, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeff and Linda Benfer, David Benfer and Joanne Benfer, three grandchildren, Kelly, Nicholas and Brittany, a brother and sister-in-law, David and Ann Benfer, nieces Pamela, Lisa, Stacey and Debbie and nephew Chris.
William greatly enjoyed golfing and boating, and was a devoted family man sharing endless love.
